Junior Trader

What will you do as a Junior Trader?
The world is your playing field. As a Junior Trader, you are responsible from A to Z for utilising commercial opportunities within your sales area or portfolio. You negotiate daily with suppliers and customers, adapt your approach to different cultures and build sustainable relationships.
You analyse market opportunities and risks, develop new product-market combinations and close deals with a result-driven mindset. You do not do this alone, you work closely with colleagues from purchasing, sales and logistics. Together you ensure that your deals are successfully completed. You remain ultimately responsible for your deals, from negotiation to completion. Dynamics, speed and commercial insight are central. No day is the same!
You travel 4 to 5 weeks per year to suppliers and customers and visit international trade fairs to further expand your network. Entrepreneurship, decisiveness and commercial insight are central.
Trading
As a Junior Trader, you are daily involved in:
- Expanding turnover with existing and new products within your market or portfolio;
- Maintaining intensive, international contacts with suppliers and customers;
- Identifying and analysing market developments, both in purchasing and sales;
- Developing new product-market combinations;
- Closing deals with an eye for both return and risk;
- Working together with colleagues from trading and logistics for optimal deal handling.
Who are we looking for?
- You are someone who sees opportunities and acts on them!
- You have a completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, commercial or business-related;
- You have 0-2 years of work experience;
- You have experience in a commercial or international trading environment;
- You are entrepreneurial, commercially minded and decisive;
- You have an excellent command of Dutch and English, additional languages are a plus;
- You have strong analytical and communication skills;
- You are stress-resistant, determined and hands-on;
- You are ready for a career in a fast, international world.
