The most memorable part of this trip was, of course, Singapore itself. It\u2019s a beautiful part of Asia, where the city meets the jungle. Being able to explore the city and discover great places to eat and drink after each day at the trade fair made the experience even more special.
It was also great to see so many different cultures coming together at the fair. Although the event mainly focused on trade to and from Asia, it attracted visitors from all over the world.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

If you\u2019re visiting Singapore, Marina Bay is a must. You can explore Gardens by the Bay and then enjoy a meal at the Marina Bay Sands hotel (the rooftop is fantastic). There\u2019s also Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam \u2014 neighbourhoods that each showcase a different culture.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\nWhat was one of the biggest cultural differences compared to the Netherlands?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The biggest difference compared to the Netherlands is how clean everything is. Smoking on the street is only allowed in designated areas. Littering is prohibited, and nobody does it.
Everyone is also very friendly and polite, which isn\u2019t always a given in the Netherlands.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

During the trade fair, I made many new business connections, both with Asian customers and suppliers and with those from other parts of the world.
Trade fairs also teach you a lot about the business you\u2019re in. Together with your colleagues, you meet both customers and suppliers. Talking to both sides helps you gain a better understanding of specific product categories, market developments and trends.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
